Like I predicted, Phase 3 is definitely harder and cravings are much higher. Ironically, it’s not candy that I’m craving for, but rather something that isn’t Reset food. I miss having my milk & cereal in the morning. I miss having Saturday morning brunches with pancakes and eggs. I miss the lifestyle that I’ve lived prior to this commitment and I feel like I want it even more now that it’s been taken away from me… (so dramatic, I know…).
But that’s not to say that Reset hasn’t taught me anything. Despite the obvious of learning new recipes, I’ve learned about portion control and when to eat meals that is easiest on your digestive system. I’ve learned not to drink water with meals because it slows down your digestive systems, as well as getting in the habit of drinking 8 to 12 oz of water a day. I never realized how dehydrated my body was before I started Reset. Oh, and always chew your food!
Phew, today was a close one, though! I nearly caved in!! It took a lot of self control and one-on-one pep talks to stop my hand from grabbing anything that wasn’t veggies. Check out how close I was:
