This entry is part 19 of 20 in the series Beachbody

One day before the end of the program – how surreal! I’m almost nervous/scared to stand on my own two feet in the kitchen without my set meal plans…Hopefully I’d be able to make wise choices in the food that I eat…

Okay, I’m overreacting – I think I’ll do fine by myself. What I’m really looking forward to is getting back into my exercise routine! I definitely feel like I’ve lost weight, but I also feel slightly…flabbier. I feel skinny-fat, do you follow me? I’m overjoyed that I’m able to comfortably fit into the jeans that have always been tight on me, but I don’t feel as toned as I used to. My legs feel tired if I go up too many stairs, and my arms feel weak when I cradle too many grocery bags. I may have lost some muscle so I’m looking forward to hitting the gym again. I also have my first half marathon in November that I need to train for (part of this year’s New Year’s resolution!) Even if I stick to a similar diet, I’d gain weight back by building back all my muscle weight.

And now, I’d like to share with you 5 important points that Beachbody Reset has taught me during the last 20 days:

Me again, sorry to bother you…but I love this “food as health” stuff.

When I did my 28-day detox several years ago, weight loss was not the focus. It was a detox diet, not weight loss diet. I lost only 5 lbs, but lost tons of inches between waist and hips, my complexion glowed, and I had more energy than I knew what to do with. These changes were so overwhelming for me so I’m curious that you havenot had a similar experience. I know our diets were different, but not so much. My take away from that time was integrating a lot more veg and fruit into our diets, a lot less animal protein, and next to no pre-prepared foods. We tend to be “good” on weekdays and not worry about it on weekends.

Congrats on making it through!! Xxx
