Family: Mommy & Me in Venice Canals

Has it already been a year?! I guess it has, because Bizzle sure does look bigger than the last photoshoot we did together at TreePeople! It’s my absolute joy to do family sessions year-over-year, and watching toddlers grow into little kiddos. This year, we decided to change our scenery and go to the gorgeous Venice Canals. While it was a bit crowded with locals and tourists going on their late afternoon walk, we made it work by making it look like we were the only people there (no Photoshop required!) As we go into spring and the days become longer,

Family: City Hall & Old Town Pasadena

One of the most rewarding things about photographing families is watching families grow. Two years ago, I photographed the Turner Family in Old Town Pasadena, when Wyatt was only 1 year old and we had so much fun throwing him in the air and flipping him upside down. Now, they’ve welcomed Baby Emmett, which means, double the fun (and craziness!) We ventured to Pasadena City Hall for the family photoshoot. The beautiful architecture, groomed landscaping, and no-permit makes this location every photographer’s dream! We let the boys run around a bit and steam off energy, and got some fun moments

Family: Mommy & Me in Tree People Park

In celebration of Bizzle’s 2nd (!!) birthday, my dear friend, Fatema, asked me to capture fun images of her son’s shining personality and true self through candids (my favorite!). I have been absolutely loving capturing toddlers lately. They’re so much fun and high in energy that honestly makes my job easy, because I don’t need to worry about having to pose them! Anything and everything they do is capture-worthy! (except when they have meltdowns and tantrums, but luckily Bizzle didn’t have one when we were shooting!) We decided to do our shoot at TreePeople, the same location where I took Ana

Family: Old Town Pasadena

What great joy to capture the high spirits of the Turner Family! I met Stefanie at our local park, naturally because my son wanted to play with her little boy, Wyatt! When you’re a mom, we just tend to gravitate towards each other because we already have motherhood in common! Stefanie told me that Wyatt just turned 1 (happy belated birthday Wyatt!!) and she’s been meaning to take family photos but hasn’t found “the” photographer. Look no further Stefanie, I’m your gal! We decided to keep things local and stick around our beautiful neighborhood of Old Town Pasadena. We love

WELCOME

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
