Family: Welcoming Daniela

The most wonderful thing about what I do is being able to watch couples grow and become a family. I had the greatest honor of capturing Claudia and Andy’s wedding in Cabo in 2015, and today I’m blessed to have captured baby Daniela’s precious beginnings. She’s already filled with so much personality and, of course, with cuteness overload! Welcome to the world, Daniela! You’re so loved by everyone around you. xoxo,Hiromi

Events: Epic 4th of July Party

My friend, Shah, throws the most epic house parties. So when he reached out to me to capture his 4th of July party, I had to simply reply with “umm, yes please!” My favorite part about capturing Shah’s party is the lively energy. How do I capture energy? Good question! A big part of it is definitely the people. People make up most of the party; the laughter, enthusiastic conversations, hugs, silliness and even the occasional alcoholic shots (or three!). Capturing this liveliness, either posed or in candids, are what brings event photography to life, and lets you imagine the

Want to turn your wedding into a giant, unforgettable party? Have it at the Mardi Gras capital, New Orleans! Larissa and Matt had their whole wedding at the historic Maison Deputy hotel, located in the heart of the French Quarter and a short walking distance to party-central, Bourbon Street. But rain or shine, nothing was going to stop this wedding from happening – the show must go

Engagement: Larissa + Matt

I first met Larissa at a women’s event called Pov.la in Los Angeles. I’ve introduced myself as a photographer to the group, and naturally became the event photographer for various events that Pov.la held. So when Larissa needed head shots taken for her sports website, I was honored that she thought of me first! Shortly after our first photoshoot around Pasadena, I was excited to hear that Larissa got engaged to her now fiancé, Matt! I was even more so excited when she asked me to shoot her engagement photos! After brainstorming for a few locations (and yes, Los Angeles

WELCOME

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
