Destination Wedding: Larissa + Matt

Want to turn your wedding into a giant, unforgettable party? Have it at the Mardi Gras capital, New Orleans! Larissa and Matt had their whole wedding at the historic Maison Deputy hotel, located in the heart of the French Quarter and a short walking distance to party-central, Bourbon Street. In spirit of an authentic New Orleans experience, their wedding took place on the same weekend when the city declared a state of emergency due to tropical hurricane, Nate, that was heading our way! But rain or shine, nothing was going to stop this wedding from happening – the show must go

Engagement: Larissa + Matt

I first met Larissa at a women’s event called Pov.la in Los Angeles. I’ve introduced myself as a photographer to the group, and naturally became the event photographer for various events that Pov.la held. So when Larissa needed head shots taken for her sports website, I was honored that she thought of me first! Shortly after our first photoshoot around Pasadena, I was excited to hear that Larissa got engaged to her now fiancé, Matt! I was even more so excited when she asked me to shoot her engagement photos! After brainstorming for a few locations (and yes, Los Angeles

Engagement: Ana + Brian at Tree People

“I just knew” – a short and sweet phrase that I overheard the two lovebirds tell each other during our shoot. I was honored to capture their new engagement at their future wedding venue: TreePeople in Beverly Hills. Ana and Brian met only one year ago over a glass of bourbon at a friend’s wedding. Little did they know that this glass of bourbon is only the beginning of countless more. Together, they are an incredible pair and beautiful both inside and out. I’m fortunate to call them my friends and to be part of this exciting chapter of their

WELCOME

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
