Started something new today!
Inspired by my roommate and a good friend, I joined an organization called Beach Body that focuses on healthy living and helping people meet their physical goals. I’ve never considered myself overweight but I admit that there are days when I feel bloated or simply unhappy with the way I feel. I’d feel tired throughout the day or just low on energy, and I’d have to drink a Red Bull or snack on candy to help me feel energized. While this gives me instant gratification, I feel unhappy in the long run.
I wanted to change this about myself by somehow cutting out my sweet cravings and establishing a healthier lifestyle.
I was first introduced to Beach Body earlier this year when my roommate signed up to be a coach after hearing her rant about how fat she feels (you know how girls get). She said she wanted to transform her body and get into a better eating habit, and apparently this Beach Body organization was going to help her. Within the next couple months, she started to receive Beach Body products in the mail (while I only got bills and boring mail) with chocolate Shakeology being one of them. On top of that, she continued to do her at-home Insanity workouts and is currently doing her 21-day Ultimate Reset Challenge where you follow a strict diet with supplements to flush out the toxins to restore your body. And like she committed earlier in the year, I see her transform into a more energized, fit-with-abs and happier person before my eyes. It’s incredible!
So, what’s my plan?
- Vegan Chocolate Shakeology as a meal replacement (either breakfast or dinner)
- 21-day Ultimate Reset starting September 10 – 30
- Continue my work out routine at the gym (abs, body pump, yoga, running – half marathon in November!)
I feel really good about this – just thinking about my upcoming life transformation makes me really excited. I’ve always been quite skeptical about shakes as meal replacements and cleansing programs but seeing my roomie and friend get in shape is really inspiring. This stuff really works!!
I ordered my Shakeology today so I should be receiving my first order within the next few days. I look forward to sharing my process with you!
