My Bachelorette Party

Even though my bachelorette was more than 5 months ago, looking at the photos take me back as if it were yesterday. I didn’t want my bachelorette to be the typical, over-the-top, “last-hurrah” sort of ordeal but rather an eventful weekend where my girls could bond and get to know each other before my Big Day. I wanted it to be an intimate, classy, all-weekend party and being able to remember everything! Hmmm what does classy, daytime drinking mean? WINE! And lots of it!

My wonderful Maid of Honor organized a weekend getaway to Santa Barbara, CA, where an all-day wine tasting extravaganza awaited us. We booked a quaint house through AirBnB where we spent two, fun-filled evenings – just us girls, no strippers or inappropriate cakes.

And I insisted that we all wear Minnie ears, you know, because why not?! It was absolutely perfect!

Our Saturday morning started bright and early – just about sunrise! Because our house had no air conditioning, Dee and Sami insisted that they sleep outside because of the heat. I, for one, got up super early due to excitement of the day and watched the sunrise with them, and I admit, it was a great view to wake up!

All seven of us had a really great dynamic. A couple of us helped make breakfast, while another was in the shower (we only had one bathroom!) and sweet Ana helped us with our hair. No one seemed to get in each other’s way.

The wine tour was booked through EOS Lounge. The shuttle picked us up at our house right on time (which is important – I’m very punctual!) and took us to three beautiful wineries in the Saint Ynez area. Our first stop: Bridlewood Winery!

Our next stop was Andrew Murray Vineyards where we were escorted into a PRIVATE tasting room and paired our wines with CHOCOLATES! YUM! It was amazing how much the chocolate enhanced the wine – this could be my new pass-time hobby 😉 This winery also has a couple stunning rooms filled with barrels, which made a nice photo opp.

At the third winery, all wines started to taste the same *wink* and we got a bit silly. It become more of a photo shoot than actually tasting and discussing wines.

Our fun-filled day continued into the night (after a nap) where we got bottle service and a section at one of Santa Barbara’s clubs. But before that, we did a mini photo shoot!

It was really special for me to see my girls bond and get to know each other better. Big THANK YOU to my Maid of Honor for putting it all together <3 Can’t wait for the wedding in just 1 MONTH!!

xoxo,
Janice
