Family with Twins: Crescenta Valley Park
Golden hour at Crescenta Valley Park is absolutely beautiful. The tall oak trees create the most gorgeous backdrop, and as the sunlight filters through the branches, the entire park is filled with a soft, warm glow. It’s one of those locations that feels peaceful, natural, and perfect for capturing genuine family moments. These adorable twin girls completely stole my heart. Lacy Park: Family / maternity session
Lacy Park is one of my favorite locations for family and maternity photography. I’ve photographed here countless times and know how the light falls throughout the day, especially during golden hour when the park is absolutely beautiful. It’s also a wonderful location for families because it’s easily accessible for all ages and offers a variety of scenic backdrops without requiring much walking. I first met the [C] family when I photographed their son’s newborn session in their home. It was such an honor to reconnect with them for their maternity session as they eagerly await the arrival of their daughter.
In-Home: Newborn + Lifestyle with Toddler
There’s something incredibly special and intimate about an in-home newborn lifestyle session. Many new parents prefer having me come to them, especially during those tender first weeks of adjusting to life with a newborn. Being able to stay in the comfort of their own home allows everyone to feel more relaxed, cozy, and present during the session, and I bring everything needed with me to make the experience easy and stress free. I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
