Maternity: Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden

The LA Arboretum in Arcadia is one of my favorite locations for maternity sessions. While it does require a $75 photography permit, it’s absolutely worth it for the variety of stunning backdrops it offers. From lush greenery to charming pathways and open spaces, every corner of the park brings something unique to a session. We were also lucky enough to spot a peacock with its feathers beautifully rustled—it was such a magical moment and added an extra touch of beauty to an already perfect setting. I had the pleasure of photographing the [L] family as they prepare to welcome their

Graduation: Pasadena City Hall

I recently photographed a graduation session at Pasadena City Hall for [J], who had just graduated from dental school. After years of hard work, she wanted to document this major milestone, and I was so grateful to be able to capture such an exciting moment in her life. Pasadena City Hall is one of my favorite locations for graduation sessions and a great alternative to photographing on campus. Its beautiful architecture gives off a classic, collegiate feel, while the surrounding greenery allows for a mix of architectural and natural backdrops. There’s so much variety in one location, which makes each

Event: 1st Birthday Party

There’s something incredibly special about photographing a child’s very first birthday, especially when it’s celebrated at home, surrounded by loved ones. Baby [T] recently turned one, and I had the joy of documenting this sweet milestone in the comfort of their family’s home. I typically arrive about 20 minutes before guests arrive, which allows time to photograph the birthday child solo while everything is still calm and beautifully styled. This is also when I capture family photos—those quiet, meaningful moments before the party energy fills the room. Once guests start arriving, I photograph them with the birthday child, creating natural,

Family: Wills Rogers Memorial Park, Beverly Hills

Will Rogers Memorial Park in Beverly Hills has quickly become one of my favorite locations for family photography, especially during golden hour. As the sun begins to set, the light wraps around the palm trees and fills the park with the most beautiful golden glow. It feels calm, timeless, and effortlessly elegant. One of the things I love most about this park is how accessible it is: easy parking, flat grounds, and a compact layout that still offers a surprising variety of photo opportunities. It’s truly ideal for family members of all ages. I recently photographed family [M] at this

WELCOME

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
