In-Home: Newborn + Lifestyle with Toddler
There’s something incredibly special and intimate about an in-home newborn lifestyle session. Many new parents prefer having me come to them, especially during those tender first weeks of adjusting to life with a newborn. Being able to stay in the comfort of their own home allows everyone to feel more relaxed, cozy, and present during the session, and I bring everything needed with me to make the experience easy and stress free. When a session includes toddlers, I always begin by photographing the toddler with the newborn first, followed by lifestyle images with the whole family. I’ve found it’s best

Family session: El Matador Beach
I recently had the joy of photographing a beautiful family session at El Matador Beach in Malibu. With its stunning rock formations, sandy shoreline, and breathtaking ocean views, El Matador is always one of my favorite locations for family photography. I’ve had the privilege of photographing this family since their little boy was a newborn, so it has been incredibly special watching their family grow over the years. One of my favorite parts about being a photographer is getting to be part of these milestones and capturing families as they grow and change together. We were greeted with the most

Maternity: Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden
The LA Arboretum in Arcadia is one of my favorite locations for maternity sessions. While it does require a $75 photography permit, it’s absolutely worth it for the variety of stunning backdrops it offers. From lush greenery to charming pathways and open spaces, every corner of the park brings something unique to a session. We were also lucky enough to spot a peacock with its feathers beautifully rustled—it was such a magical moment and added an extra touch of beauty to an already perfect setting. I had the pleasure of photographing the [L] family as they prepare to welcome their

Graduation: Pasadena City Hall
I recently photographed a graduation session at Pasadena City Hall for [J], who had just graduated from dental school. After years of hard work, she wanted to document this major milestone, and I was so grateful to be able to capture such an exciting moment in her life. Pasadena City Hall is one of my favorite locations for graduation sessions and a great alternative to photographing on campus. Its beautiful architecture gives off a classic, collegiate feel, while the surrounding greenery allows for a mix of architectural and natural backdrops. There’s so much variety in one location, which makes each
WELCOME
I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
