Family: Mommy & Me in Venice Canals

Has it already been a year?! I guess it has, because Bizzle sure does look bigger than the last photoshoot we did together at TreePeople! It’s my absolute joy to do family sessions year-over-year, and watching toddlers grow into little kiddos.

This year, we decided to change our scenery and go to the gorgeous Venice Canals. While it was a bit crowded with locals and tourists going on their late afternoon walk, we made it work by making it look like we were the only people there (no Photoshop required!) As we go into spring and the days become longer, we were able to finish our shoot in just over 1 hour. Bizzle had so much fun walking over the bridges, looking at ducks, and just hanging out with his mommy. Just look at that big smile!

Bizzle’s favorite part about the day was going over the bridges. He kept asking to go from one side to the other, so naturally, we had to take some photos on the biggest bridge of all!

Uh oh – we got photobombed! 🙂

It was such a delight to hang out with Bizzle and watch him explore nature and do the cute kid-stuff that toddlers do. I love being able to freeze time and revisit these precious moments – the gift of photography!

WELCOME

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
