Family: Colorado Bridge in the morning

Colorado Bridge in Pasadena is one of those locations that looks beautiful no matter what time of day you visit. I especially love how the sunlight hits different parts of the bridge depending on the time of day, creating a completely different feel for each session. This time, we met bright and early at 8:00am for a morning family session with the [F] family and their two sweet dogs.

Morning light at Colorado Bridge has its own kind of magic. The soft sunlight filtering through the trees and across the bridge created such a beautiful backdrop for this family. And of course, having their pups along made the session even more fun! I love when families include their dogs in their photos because they are such an important part of the family story. Colorado Bridge is definitely one of those places I never get tired of photographing!

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
