Family: Golden Hour at the Colorado Street Bridge, Pasadena

The Colorado Street Bridge in Pasadena is such a stunning location, especially during golden hour when the light spills in just right. I had the joy of photographing a beautiful family here recently—with two energetic young boys and their sweet family pup!

When working with little ones (and pets!), I always start with the posed shots first while everyone’s still fresh and focused. But as expected, kids quickly get curious, wiggly, and wonderfully distracted—and that’s when the magic really happens. I shift into capturing those candid, unscripted moments that make each family session unique.

These two brothers were so much fun to photograph. Watching them laugh, play, and bond together reminded me why I love what I do. There’s something so special about freezing those real moments in time—full of love, joy, and the little personalities that shine through.

Interested in having your next family session at this iconic location? Let me know, let’s create magic together!

Hiromi

WELCOME

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
