City Hall in Pasadena is one of my favorite spots to photograph families. I absolutely love the stunning architecture and the rose garden, which was luckily in bloom during our shoot! Aneesah is expecting her second child any day now, and we had some fun photographing the family, especially two-year-old, Axel! This little man was a natural poser, and he made my job easy with his beautiful smile 🙂
We were hit with some unfortunate rain during our session, so we went up the gorgeous stairs to explore the inside of City Hall. Axel loved going up and down the stairs!
Pregnancy is an intimate journey. It’s the first time a mother bonds with her child, communicating in ways when words are not yet formed. Aneesah was glowing, and the way her family cherished the beginning of their new addition was stunning. I could feel the love as I captured their special moments.
The best part of family photography is capturing adults and children as they are. Whether it’s running, jumping, being silly, or letting out a natural laugh, that’s what makes a beautiful photograph. It’s those candid precious moments that families look fondly back on.
Thankfully the rain had stopped shortly before we wrapped up, and I was even more excited to see that the pink roses were in bloom. It was the perfect spot for a mother/daughter photo.
It was an absolute pleasure photographing this heart-warming, fun family! Wishing everyone a wonderful beginning chapter of a family of 4!
