Family Session: Golden Hour at Tree People, Los Angeles

There’s something truly magical about Tree People during golden hour. The way the sunlight filters through the trees creates a dreamy, golden glow—perfect for capturing heartfelt family moments. It’s easily one of my favorite spots in Los Angeles for outdoor sessions.

This session with Family M and their 6-month-old baby was pure joy. Their little guy was all smiles from the very beginning, soaking up every bit of love and attention from his parents. At this age, babies are so expressive, and it was beautiful to capture those tiny giggles, curious eyes, and tender snuggles.

We kept the session short and sweet—just about 30 minutes—which was the perfect amount of time before our little star started to get tired. I always plan around baby cues so we can make the most of those happy, alert moments.

This session was a reminder of how much connection can be captured in a short window when the light, location, and love all align just right.

Thinking about booking a family session? Golden hour at Tree People is one of the best times and places to make lasting memories.

WELCOME

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
