Lacy Park: Family / maternity session

Lacy Park is one of my favorite locations for family and maternity photography. I’ve photographed here countless times and know how the light falls throughout the day, especially during golden hour when the park is absolutely beautiful. It’s also a wonderful location for families because it’s easily accessible for all ages and offers a variety of scenic backdrops without requiring much walking.

I first met the [C] family when I photographed their son’s newborn session in their home. It was such an honor to reconnect with them for their maternity session as they eagerly await the arrival of their daughter. One of the greatest joys of my job is growing alongside families and documenting these meaningful milestones, from welcoming a newborn to celebrating the next chapter in their family’s story.

Their little boy was an absolute delight to photograph. He was full of energy, smiles, and plenty of creative poses that kept us laughing throughout the session. Watching him interact with his parents and prepare for his upcoming role as big brother made this session especially sweet, and I can’t wait to meet their baby girl soon.

Hiromi

WELCOME

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
