Newborn: One month old baby girl
There are so many wonderful memories in the making when a tiny human joins a family. Life can get so hectic that finding a photographer to capture those special moments might be the last item on the “to-do” list for many families. The [G] Family reached out to me when Baby Girl was one month old, and we caught some special moments in the comfort of their home. Family: Holiday in Pasadena Old Town
It’s the most beautiful time of the year, quite literally, in Old Town Pasadena. Christmas trees and holiday decor light up the area, with a photo opportunity in every corner! Even during non-holiday, Old Town is a beautiful location for family sessions. The brick walls, vintage architecture, and urban-feel adds excitement and variety to the photographs. Since meeting the [E] Family for their maternity photos at Pasadena City Hall, they’ve welcomed their Baby Girl, and we decided to do the holiday photos in Old Town. Family: Lacy Park, San Marino
There are so many wonderful location varieties in Pasadena for a photo shoot. From urban environments such as City Hall and Old Town, to beautiful nooks of nature such as Bailey Canyon, Pasadena is a wonderful area that offers many types of backdrops without having to drive very far. Lacy Park is another example of a beautiful park in San Marino, where we photographed the [L] Family during golden hour. Do note, that this well-kept park costs $5 per person on the weekends, but it’s totally worth it 🙂 This very quick photo shoot probably only took about 20 minutes,
Family: Bailey Canyon, Sierra Madre
I love photographing families in this beautiful location! Bailey Canyon sits on the bottom of the Sierra Madre mountains, and is very walking-friendly for families with young children and older generations. With just a few steps from the parking lot, we get some nice trees with wooden benches which is a great area to begin our photo shoot. Kids absolutely love this location because they naturally love to explore! Tall trees, fun rocks that look like magic crystals, and big logs to climb over – what’s not to like? I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.Â
