Dedication to my friend, Angela

Yesterday, I found out that my dear friend Angela will be moving back to LA this summer!

Angela and I met about 5 years ago on Craigslist, of all places! She was looking for a roommate and I responded to her ad. Unfortunately she had already met someone (who also became a good friend) but promised that she would introduce us if someone else were to reply to her ad… and it worked out! I ended up living with a sweet girl from Ohio, who I still keep in touch with 🙂 Anyway, once I moved in to the building, Angela lived down the hall from me and we hit it off immediately. Our friendship blossomed over the course of the year, before she had to move away to Colorado to pursue her PhD. I mean, great for her! But I was sad that she had to move away. I visited her in Boulder and she came out to visit, but I was always devastated when we said our goodbyes 🙁

And yay for everyone, Angela announced she’ll be returning to the better coast this summer! I literally said “YAY!!” out loud 🙂 Here’s a few photos that Angela, her boyfriend Chris, and I took while they visited LA. Can’t wait to take many more!

WELCOME

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
