In-home Newborn: Cherished pieces

In the cozy neighborhood of Eagle Rock, California, I had the privilege of capturing precious moments with a darling 10-day-old baby girl during an in-home newborn session. The key to ensuring a smooth session is careful preparation. We made sure the little one was well-fed just before we began, and her parents helped keep her awake for a couple of hours prior. As the session started, we eased into it with a soft, lighter palette, gradually transitioning to deeper, richer tones.

Every newborn session is a blend of capturing the precious solo moments of the baby and the beautiful bonds within the family. The family session is typically taken on the family bed or by the soft glow of a window. And furry friends are always encouraged to join in the fun, adding an extra layer of joy to the session.

My greatest joy and goal in photography is to create images that are timeless. The mother brought out a beautiful wooden cradle, which she shared was the cradle that her father had built and her mother had rocked her in. We placed the cradle by the window, and created a beautiful, serene piece that will be cherished for generations to come.

Hiromi

WELCOME

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
