Engagement: Ana + Brian at Tree People

“I just knew” – a short and sweet phrase that I overheard the two lovebirds tell each other during our shoot. I was honored to capture their new engagement at their future wedding venue: TreePeople in Beverly Hills. Ana and Brian met only one year ago over a glass of bourbon at a friend’s wedding. Little did they know that this glass of bourbon is only the beginning of countless more. Together, they are an incredible pair and beautiful both inside and out. I’m fortunate to call them my friends and to be part of this exciting chapter of their

Street Style: Afternoon Tea Time

I think my favorite part of a weekend is being able to sit at a local coffee shop for some relaxing, afternoon tea. Today’s dreamy look was photographed at a coffee shop in Brentwood, and she even brought a small bouquet of roses to go with the look! So cute!  Being able to hang out at a coffee shop, and photograph Yana while sipping on some tea was really relaxing; I loved the laid back atmosphere! The full look was photographed at a nearby park in Brentwood, just around the corner from the coffee shop. I absolutely adored the black

Family: Griffith Park, Los Angeles

As we grow older, spending quality time with family, especially with our parents, become a rare and special occasion. With parents living oceans apart, we can go months or even years not seeing their friendly faces. So when I heard that my Maid of Honor’s parents were visiting LA from Iran, I cleared my schedule and made sure we went on a fun photo shoot. I call this series: The Great Jadmani Photo Shoot (Jadmani is their last name). There’s four kids in the family, or as I like to call them, Jadmani babies. They’re all very close to one

Dedication to my friend, Angela

Yesterday, I found out that my dear friend Angela will be moving back to LA this summer! Angela and I met about 5 years ago on Craigslist, of all places! She was looking for a roommate and I responded to her ad. Unfortunately she had already met someone (who also became a good friend) but promised that she would introduce us if someone else were to reply to her ad… and it worked out! I ended up living with a sweet girl from Ohio, who I still keep in touch with 🙂 Anyway, once I moved in to the building,

WELCOME

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
