The Santos Baby Shower

My dear friends Holly and Oscar are expecting their first son, Austin! I had the honor of photographing their Peter Rabbit-themed baby shower which took place at Whiskey Red’s in Marina Del Rey (my old neighborhood!) It was a gorgeous water-front patio with a designated space reserved for the event, wonderfully put together by Holly’s co-workers. I love photographing baby showers. Everything is so… cute! Gift tables were beautifully decorated and one of her coworkers had even created a “cake” made out of diapers. I mean, how creative (and extremely useful) is that?! Oscar and Holly are lucky to have

Part 2: Sydney – My Australia Getaway

Before setting foot in Sydney, I’ve spent an incredible 5 days and 4 nights in Cairns with my friend Maiko. My dear childhood friend Maiko (author of blog Lights Camera Travel) and I recently reconnected after a 25-year friendship hiatus and we’ve been trying to find the next opportunity to see each other. Somehow, our conversation led to Maiko saying, “Hey –  you should come visit me in Cairns!” “No – I can’t! I have a job and I can’t take time off”. But after thinking through some logistics, I thought, “why not?” I think it took me

Oh my god… Babies!

I don’t get to practice on youngsters very often, so I was excited when I just HAPPENED to have my camera at my friend’s brunch; it was cuties galore! Surprisingly, all of the little ones were very photogenic, and they stroke a pose for me whenever I pointed my camera at their cute faces. Their eyes lit up with curiosity and gave me the biggest smiles – what a great moment to capture!   Baby models: Sacha & Riley. Thank you for your lovely poses and not throwing a fit when I had my camera in your beautiful faces! xoxo,

WELCOME

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
