Family: Eaton Canyon, Pasadena

My favorite part about what I do is watching children grow. I have had the honor of photographing [F] and her boy since he was just one year old. On our first year, we photographed our family session at TreePeople, a gorgeous area by Sherman Oaks in the mountains. Our second year was at the Venice Canals in Venice, which made it super fun for toddler Bizzle to go up and down the bridges! This year we went to Eaton Canyon, a beautiful scenic location in the Pasadena / Sierra Madre mountains.

This is a wonderful location to feel like you’re surrounded by nature. While Eaton Canyon is known for its beautiful hike, there is plenty of flat land for young kids and elder family members to enjoy the grounds. We didn’t have to go far at all to find these beautiful nooks of nature.

If you’re looking to have a family session with younger kids or elder members, this is a fantastic location! For more urban looks, I can suggest additional locations. As a resident of Pasadena, I know many photo-scenic locations that would be great for your family session!

WELCOME

I call myself a ‘people’ photographer, specializing in capturing the personalities of people through family, newborn and event photography. I’m originally German-Japanese and was raised embracing both cultures. I was raised in Japan and in many parts of Europe, until I finally settled in Los Angeles to call it my permanent home. My love for photography started at an early age. A fun hobby eventually turned in to a passion when I found joy in taking candid photos of my friends. Naturally, my love for photography turned in to a lifestyle and I was asked to photograph people’s milestones and celebrations. And so, my photography business was born in 2010.
